sorry i could not produce better photos ... working with a point and
shoot digital doesn't quite cut it ...
the chinese symbols are their horoscope symbols ... the insects i
tried not to repeat except for the top and bottom of each panel
the borders and the intersections are 4" wide finished what i am
calling the crowns ... at the top and bottom of each intersection plus
the corners are finished 5" square the gold dot accents are done in
metallic the panels are 16" wide (when all was said and done i think
the 16" was too wide ... i should have gone 12" to 14" wide at the
most ... but i am keeping this one for one so i can live with it)
the quilting was done by hand ... the pattern is a 2" square grid
when you see the quilt completely open it is very dramatic in a
simple way
